In a latest research at the LSU Health Sciences Center New Orleans, Dr. Panday’s lab has found in fruit flies that blocking the abnormal movement of a protein made by a mutated gene called FUS also blocks the disease process.

All cigarette brands present the same level of risk to smokers regardless of what their name says. But a new study published in the journal Addictionhas found that most smokers believe that cigarettes named ‘light’, ‘mild’, etc. are not as harmful as regular cigarettes.

The NIH-AARP Diet and Health Study has revealed a relationship between diabetes and cancer. The study suggests that diabetes presents lower risk of prostate cancer in men but raises the risk of other cancers in both men and women.
