I have always been a big fan of Table Tennis and after ruining two tables in Rain due to my laziness I finally took a break from it. Since I’m blogging all the time I’m in a habit of holding my mouse almost every single second. Recently I changed my sitting position and the mouse was just a little far from me now and I would need to stretch just a little bit to grab it and before I knew It caused me a Wrist pain.
I went to the doctor and he didn’t mention anything serious but my nights became nightmares when I just couldn’t sleep because of the stupid pain. I went for an X-Ray and Dah! Nothing came out of that as well so I’m guessing it was just a lot of stress for my wrist to take. The Pain never left me for about 90 days at least. I did my research on the internet and found that I need to work on the whole wrist and forearm to make other muscles stronger to recover it.
I bought another Table Tennis table and started playing again. At first it was almost impossible to even play a normal stroke and it did hurt a bit but since I’m nuts about this game I kept on playing and trust me after a week or so the pain completely vanished as if I never had it.
2 weeks back I started weight lifting. Started off with Push ups and did like 100 push ups a day. I was really stupid to do it everyday and caused another pain just below my left shoulder because I had been putting stress on a single muscle yet again and now I can’t do a single push up without feeling insane pain.
Yesterday I went to a friend’s play where they were playing “Cricket” and I joined them. At the beginning even holding the bat was a problem but after an hour I started playing shots and when I was done playing with them and came home there was no Pain. I was like WTF!
I still have the pain but it really isn’t bad at all. So before I started weight lifting again I’m going to work on the whole shoulder so that I don’t get hurt again. This process has really worked for me and I’ll be more than happy if I have helped anyone of you here.
So all I wanna say is don’t just work on a single muscle try to cover the rest of the part of the specific part of the body. For example don’t just work on your wrist try to involve your forearm in it. And when doing Push ups you may want to try pull ups and a few more stretching exercises to keep it all moving. You just gotta mix it up and never use too much weight unless you can really handle it.
Also, do check up with a Doctor before you take my advice. I’m just sharing it with you guys because it has honestly helped me and I feel better than ever.
