One of the very important jobs you can ever have is to clean your teeth properly. I’ve read that there are lots of parents out there who are really worried about the kids not cleaning their teeth properly and to be honest it’s really not easy to afford a denist now a day so it’s best that you take care of your teeth and your kids teeth right from the start. Here are some tips on how to properly clean your teeth.
The first thing you need to know is that flossing your teeth is actually more important than brushing your teeth. Lots of people neglet this but they should know that Only floss can reach in between your teeth preventing cavities there. The cavities that develope between the teeth happen to be the worst type because the dentist will have to drill a lot of your teeth off to get to it. So what you need to do is make a routine for yourself that you will honestly follow every morning and night and learn how to floss your teeth. I’ve mentioned the best possible timings for brushing your teeth in my earlier post “Should I brush my teeth before or after breakfast”
It’s best if you brush your teeth 3 times a day.
1. After breakfast
2. After Lunch
3. Before going to sleep
Now, mouthwash is nice for your teeth. It helps you get rid of the bad breath. It’s suggested that you should use mouthwash just once a week because the same ingredients that kill all the bacteria in your mouth also may cause damage in future. It you use it 365 days a week for ten years it may cause cancer.
Brush all of your teeth, not just the front ones. Spend some time on the teeth along the sides and in the back
Brush for at least 2-3 minutes.
Change your tooth brush after every 3 months.
Lastly, don’t forget to visit the dentist at least twice a year because besides checking for signs of cavities or gum disease, the dentist will help keep your teeth extra clean. Happy Brushing =)
